Daniel Gray of South Sound FC was just following the suggestion of teammate Danny Minniti. The yell was “go ahead and try one,” so Gray did. The result is now the 2015 EPLWA Goal of the Year as voted by fans.

The strike from the South Sound FC player ran away with the overall vote, getting 58% of the support. A bicycle kick goal by Bellingham United’s Brendan Quilici finished second with just over 20%.

The goal was scored on May 15, 2015 against the Olympic Force at Gordon Field in a 2-0 win for visiting South Sound FC. Gray took advantage of space from around 35 yards out and lofted a perfect strike that dipped just when it needed to.
