2024 EPLWA Regular Season Match Schedule Announced

EPLWA is excited to unveil the schedule of match dates for the 2024 season, which will kick off the first weekend of May.

The first weekend of the slate will see 10 of the 12 in action on Saturday along with a sixth game on Sunday, though Yakima United will be the only idle side on the weekend.

In the openers, four of the league newcomers will be facing veteran sides with a fifth game featuring Spokane United, formerly of the CPL, visiting local foe Washington East Surf in a derby match to start the season. Meanwhile, Tri Cities Badgers visits league champion Spokane Shadow, Cultures United hosts Everett Jets, Artesians are at Vancouver Victory and Morelia Skagit is at Bellingham United before returning home to host OlyPen Force Sunday.

The big championship rematch between longtime foes Spokane Shadow and Yakima United will take place June 1 with Spokane returning to Yakima, where they claimed the 2023 championship with a 4-0 win and became the first three-time EPLWA champions. The two split the two league contests during the regular season last year. They will only square off once this season as they’ve been split into different conferences.

In the big showdown of west sides last year Bellingham took the conference title over Everett by five points on the strength of sweeping both games in one-goal decisions. This year they will meet in Bellingham on May 18 and Everett June 22.

Two weeks later it will be quite the EPLWA-fest in Spokane as all three sides will be at home on June 15. The Shadow will host Bellingham, Spokane United takes on Everett Jets and Morelia Skagit visits WE Surf.

The only dates on the calendar that will see all 12 teams in action on the same day are the final two Saturdays of the season July 6 and July 15 with no Sunday contests either weekend.
