Washington’s Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) is thrilled to announce the start of year 10! That’s right, we’re in year 10 of the EPLWA! This year features the addition of three new teams: Leones de Seattle FC, Seattle City FC, and Thurston County FC.
The EPLWA has become a staple of the Washington soccer community, providing top-level play for both players and fans alike. Over the years, the league has grown and evolved, with each season bringing new challenges and opportunities for the teams and players.
This year, with the new additions, the league is poised for even more excitement and competition. Leones de Seattle, Seattle City, and Thurston County all bring their own set of skills and experiences to the league. Fans are certainly in for a treat.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these new teams to the EPLWA,” said league President, Tim Busch. This season promises to be one of the most exciting yet, the league has adopted the MLS NEXT rule that matches cannot end in a tie, but instead will go straight to PKs. An overtime PK win will result in 2 points, while a PK overtime loss will result in 1 point. One thing is for sure, we will see more goals, more player development under pressure, and more drama.
