The Evergreen Premier League today announces the honorees for the previous week of play with the #HometownSoccer Players of the Week awards for July 8, 2018. Brandon Madsen of Washington Premier (offense) and Logan Jones of Washington Premier (defense) were voted by league head coaches and general managers as worthy of note for their standout contributions to their sides.
Washington Premier FC won 2 matches over the July 7-8 weekend to clinch the Cascade Division and the highest point total in the 2018 season. In their wins Brandon Madsen (Saint Martins) scored 4 goals (2 per match) to lead his side while also jumping to the top of the Golden Boot race with 10 goals on the season. Madsen was also POTW on June 24.
Logan Jones (Tacoma CC) is having a stellar season for WPFC and last weekend he was an important cog in a defense that gave up just one goal in each win. Jones also plays for the Tacoma Stars Reserves in the WISL.
