The Evergreen Premier League season rolled along over the June 9-10 weekend with 5 matches. Highlights include first wins of the season for Bellingham and Yakima.

Bellingham United 3-1 Seattle Stars
BELLINGHAM, WA—Bellingham United (1-3-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead before coasting to a 3-1 win over the Seattle Stars (3-2-0) on Saturday at Phillips 66 Soccer Park. Two goals turned the match for the Hammers. Richard Henderson’s in the 20th minute followed by Christian Rotter’s in the 26th. Bellingham’s third goal came from Camron Miller in the 52nd minute. Tyler Bjork returned to play for the Stars and scored their lone goal in the 79th minute, his 49th goal in EPLWA play.

Spokane Shadow 1-2 Yakima United
SPOKANE, WA— The Hoppers of Yakima United (1-2-1) scored their first EPLWA win for new head coach Dennis Stevenson on Saturday in Spokane over the Shadow (2-4-0). The match was decided with two goals four minutes apart in the first half. Alonzo Rojas put the visitors up 1-0 in the 27th and the lead was doubled to 2-0 at 31 minutes on a goal from Jose Maldonado. A late Drew Williams goal got the Shadow close.

Tri-Cities Alliance 3-1 Olympic Force
KENNEWICK, WA—Two first half goals were enough to lift the Lions (3-2-0) over the Force (1-4-0) and to their first-ever home win in Evergreen Premier League play on Saturday night at Lampson Stadium. Miguel Acevedo got the Lions on the scoreboard in the 17th minute. It was 2-0 just before the break when Lenin Guzman scored in t he 43rd. The clubs exchanged late goals with Vincente Flores making it 3-0 in the 90th before Colin Ralston broke the shutout with a Force goal in added time.

Vancouver Victory 2-1 Tri-Cities Alliance
VANCOUVER, WA—The Victory (3-2-0) converted a late penalty kick to edge the Lions (3-3-0) on Sunday at Harmony Sports Complex. A scoreless battle was broken in the 53rd minute when Vancouver’s Tyson Fox put the home side up 1-0. Tri-Cities got even when Lenin Guzman scored his second goal of the weekend in the 64th. It all came down to a late penalty kick call which the Victory converted off the foot of Oliver Tate in the 89th minute.

Seattle Stars 4-0 Oly Town Artesians
TUKWILA, WA— The Stars (4-2-0) bounced back from Saturday’s loss in Bellingham to shut out Coastal Division chasers Oly Town FC (2-1-2) on Sunday night at Starfire. Here’s a report from the Artesians. Tyler Bjork scored his 50th goal in EPLWA play.
