SEATTLE, WA— The clubs, officers and volunteers of the Evergreen Premier League met on Friday November 3 at Maya’s Restaurant in South Seattle to begin making plans for the 2018 soccer season.
New officers were elected. Tim Busch is the new EPLWA President. John Crouch is the league’s first-ever VP of Operations. Lance Calloway is the VP of Competition. The positions of secretary and treasurer will be filled via online vote.
The meeting included welcoming new side Tri-Cities Alliance FC and bidding farewell to outgoing President Peter Ostrovsky. Ostrovsky was honored with the title President emeritus. Further, the EPLWA Championship trophy will now be known as the “Peter Ostrovsky Cup.”
Several committees were formed that will tackle important issues during the offseason. One is as specific as deciding on a competition format for the 9-club league. Another is as general as coming up with an offical mission statement that describes the priorities of the league as it enters its fifth season.
