TACOMA, WA— South Sound Football Club player Isidro Prado-Huerta has had a busy last few weeks. He led his Highline College Thunderbirds into the NWAC semifinals after scoring 8 goals and dishing out 11 asists during the regular season.
Isidro was named NWAC Men’s Player of the Year as the outstanding midfielder from Thomas Jefferson High School in Federal Way completed his sophomore season.
On his twitter page, Prado-Huerta has tweeted that he has verbally committed to play for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos next year.
Isidro has played in the Sounders Academy and was a trialist for S2 of the USL. He scored twice for the Shock during the 2015 EPLWA season. He also played 3 matches (102 minutes) for the Sounders U23 in the PDL.
Prado-Huerta was a member of the South Sound Shock U-23 team that won the USASA National Title in the summer of 2015, scoring goals along the way and in the final.
Prado-Huerta scored the last goal of the entire EPLWA season to give South Sound FC a 1-1 draw in Chelan against Wenatchee FC in late July.
